TRUMP FAMILY DIVIDE? DONALD TRUMP SPEAKS OUT AT MELANIA’S $75M MOVIE PREMIERE AS KEY FAMILY MEMBERS GO MISSING

Date:

The glitz and glamour of Washington’s Kennedy Center—recently renamed the Trump-Kennedy Center in a move that has sparked its own legal battle—was on full display Thursday night for the world premiere of “MELANIA.” The $75 million documentary, bankrolled by Amazon MGM Studios, was supposed to be a triumphant celebration of the First Lady’s return to the White House. However, the event was quickly overshadowed by a glaring “family divide” that has left royal watchers and political pundits buzzing.

While President Donald Trump stood firmly by Melania’s side on the black carpet—a stylistic choice to match the film’s monochrome aesthetic—the absence of several high-profile family members was impossible to ignore. Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, once the faces of the Trump administration, were notably missing from the spotlight, fueling rumors of a growing rift within the family’s inner circle.

“This is a MUST WATCH. It’s beautiful, it’s emotional, and it shows the world the Melania I know—a peacemaker and a unifier,” Trump stated, echoing his wife’s own words from the film’s trailer.

The $75 Million Gamble

The film, directed by the controversial Brett Ratner, captures the 20 days leading up to the 2025 inauguration. Amazon reportedly paid $40 million for the rights, with another $35 million poured into a global marketing blitz that included a massive takeover of the Las Vegas Sphere. Yet, for all the spending, the numbers are telling a different story. Reports from London and major U.S. cities suggest “soft” ticket sales, with some theaters recording zero advance bookings.

“It wasn’t about getting rich,” director Brett Ratner told reporters at the premiere, defending the project’s high price tag amid accusations of Amazon trying to “curry favor” with the administration. “The Trumps are wealthy and successful enough.”

The Documentary of Enigmas

The film itself offers a rare, if highly curated, look behind the curtain. In one poignant scene, Melania is seen advising the President to focus on being a “unifier” in his inaugural address. “I want to show the people what it takes to go from a private citizen to being a First Lady again,” Melania shared at the event.

As NewsTigo tracks the public’s reaction, the question remains:

Can a $75 million marketing campaign buy the public’s affection, or will the “missing” family members and sluggish box office define Melania’s cinematic debut? One thing is certain—the drama outside the theater is just as intense as the footage inside.
